With this collection of traditional pieces, recorded on the spot and re-elaborated, the Musicanti have intended to develop, through sonorous images, the country and pastoral culture found, going along the Apennines.
The ideal centre in this territory is Scapoli, the place of reed-pipes and pipers; but the affective centre is Capracotta, that is the group's place of origin. But in reality, once passed the Mainarde, the area extends as far as the Liri Valley and reaches the Ausoni and Aurunci mountains.
The proposal is not philological and evidences the long consuetude of the group to the forms and instruments of the country music. In fact there are lullabies, rhymes, songs relative to work, feasts and banquets at the typical rhythm of Saltarello.
